Amecet n'ainapakin (Shelter of Peace) is a ministry of Youth With A Mission (YWAM)in Soroti, Uganda. We are reaching out to HIV infected and affected children. We also are caring for new born babies, who lost their mother after the delivery. The third group of children we help, are children who need a safe place, they mostly come via the police. In this blog we want to share with you our stories, our pictures, our needs and blessings!

Bye bye to our " TOTO GRACE".....

Today we had to say goodbye to auntie Grace, who works with us in the Kitchen since April 2006. It is because of health problems that she had to stop cooking in our kitchen. Grace was like the mother of the family, cooking and caring for everyone in the house. She was one of the Amecet family...
In 2011 Amecet celebrate the 10 year anniversary with a march through Soroti town, Auntie Grace marches with us!
She loves children and she has also patience with them, a very good thing in Amecet!

2014 Amunweek and 60 extra people to feed! Auntie Grace is cooking with the kitchen crew.
Aunti Grace you have been cooking so many pots of Posho and Beans in all those years, you have cooked so many chickens for us, backed thousands of Mandazi's and so much more!!! We thank you for all the work you did, for your smile in the house, for your caring and we pray that you can enjoy your so much deserved rest... That your back will heal and you can enjoy your grandchildren, caring for you!! May God bless you!!
A BIG HUG FROM ALL OF US IN AMECET:
